Can Walcott finally emulate Ian Wright?

Theo Walcott spoke this week of his wish to emulate Arsenal legend Ian Wright by becoming a prolific goalscorer for the north London club.

On Saturday, Walcott will start up front for Arsenal in the fixture in which Wright scored his first ever Gunners goal.

That was on September 25 1991 in a League Cup tie away at Leicester, with Wright scoring on his Arsenal debut with a powerful strike from 25 yards in the 44th minute.

It was the goal that set Wright on his way to becoming a hero during his seven years in north London.
