Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuaín ensures Juventus endure more Serie A misery

Napoli ensured Juventus’ miserable start to the Serie A season continued as they held on for a 2-1 victory at San Paolo Stadium.
Max Allegri’s men, who now have just five points from six matches, could find themselves 13 adrift of Internazionale should the current leaders beat Fiorentina on Sunday night.
Napoli deserved their victory, with goals from Lorenzo Insigne and Gonzalo Higuaín securing the points against the team that have won the league title in each of the last four seasons.
Insigne played a neat one-two with Higuaín and stroked the ball past the goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and into the bottom corner to open the scoring, before he hobbled out of the action.
Buffon got a strong arm on Higuaín’s low shot but could not keep it out as Napoli extended their lead, and although Mario Lemina squeezed home his first goal for the Bianconeri to offer hope, Juventus rarely threatened an equaliser.
