Mata: Manchester United still have a long way to go

Louis van Gaal's men defeated Sunderland 3-0 at the weekend to move to the top of the Premier League but the midfielder maintains that the club still have room to improve

Juan Mata has voiced his delight with Manchester United 's good start to the season, but has stressed that they have not won anything yet.

United returned to the top of the Premier League at the weekend, as they beat Sunderland 3-0, deposing rivals City in the process, with Manuel Pellegrini's side beaten 4-1 by Tottenham.

Yet Mata has stressed that Louis van Gaal's men still have a long way to go, as they attempt to secure the first silverware of the Dutchman's reign at Old Trafford.

"Our victory, together with City's defeat, took us to the top spot in the table, which is something new for me since I came to Manchester United," the Spain international wrote in his blog.
