The 25-year-old playmaker is hoping what he does in
training will be enough to prove he is worthy of an opportunity with the
Selecao
Lucas Lima says his decision to join Santos is to thank for his first Brazil call-up.He joined the club in 2014 after failing to break into the first team at Internacional and has since emerged as one of the finest passing midfielders in the country.
The 25-year-old playmaker is now hoping to make his international debut this week, continuing the fine tradition of a club that has given the Selecao the likes of Zito, Pele, Carlos Alberto, Robinho and Neymar.
“My stay at Santos made this happen. I knew that playing at Santos would give me the chance for Brazil. And now I know I made the right choice.
