More possession than Madrid, better passing accuracy than Barca - Celta's stunning La Liga stats
They are the revelation in 2015's La Liga. Celta Vigo finished eighth in the Primera Division last season, but three wins and a draw in their first four matches have catapulted the Galicians into the Champions League places ahead of their game against Barcelona on Wednesday.
Celta started the season with a 2-1 win at Levante, before a 3-0 victory at home to Rayo Vallecano and a 3-3 draw at Balaidos against promoted side Las Palmas. That last game was one Enrique Berizzo's men were expected to win and was somewhat disappointing, but it was followed by an impressive 2-1 success at Sevilla on Sunday.
"It was a very difficult match for us," Iago Aspas told Goal after that match. "We were up against a great team in front of their home fans, but we were superior and we showed that Celta can win at difficult grounds."
Berizzo's side showed that last season too by beating Barca 1-0 at Camp Nou, and only losing the return fixture by the same slender scoreline at Balaidos.
