Rafinha: I did not quit Brazil for Germany

Rafinha has denied suggestions he rejected a call-up to the Brazil squad in order to switch his international allegiance to Germany.
The Bayern Munich defender was handed a return to the Brazil squad by coach Dunga for October’s World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Venezuela but, just days after taking to social media to celebrate his inclusion, made a shock withdrawal from the squad.
The 30-year-old is currently seeking German citizenship but says he has no intentions of seeking Fifa clearance to represent his adopted homeland.
