Erik Lamela is in negotiations with Inter over a potential summer move, his father and agent has revealed.
The
winger joined Tottenham from Roma in 2013 for a club-record fee of
£25.7 million but has failed to adjust to life in England, scoring just
five goals in 46 appearances in all competitions last season.
Lamela
has played a part in all of Spurs’ games thus far this season but is
believed to be expendable at White Hart Lane and Jose Lamela, his father
and agent, has now confirmed that Inter are attempting to sign his son.
"We're talking with Inter, their interest is real,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We're waiting for some news, we are willing to start a negotiation. We would come back in Serie A and we like Inter option.”
Tottenham have sold a number of fringe players this summer but are continuing to pursue West Brom striker Saido Berahino, though they saw a second bid for the forward rejected on Tuesday.
